Research work in the last eight to ten years has led to greater understanding of nutrient use by fruit trees. The uptake of nutrients by the plant, partitioning of nutrients in the plant and the use of fertilizers with irrigation water has been investigated by a team of researchers at the Pacific Agriculture Research Centre at Summerland.
