灌溉水硬度往往由水中溶解的碳酸盐引起,这种叫暂时硬度;另外还有一部分钙镁离子与氯离子、硝酸根离子等形成的盐叫永久硬度,硬度升高也会导致PH升高;一般加酸可以分解水质引起硬度的碳酸氢根,同时降低PH,是常用的硬水处理手段;地下水中的铁往往以二价的形式存在,当抽出地表与空气接触,二价铁会氧化成三价或者其他形态形成沉淀,造成水肥设施堵塞。
