简介：Hail netting reduces sunlight levels by up to 25%, however the apple tree canopy itself can reduce sunlight levels by up to 95% or more. It is tree vigor that determines how apple trees respond to netting, and fruit size on vigorous trees under hail netting will be reduced if inappropriate pruning strategies are used that encourage excessive shoot growth.
